Lama Fin's first Lord's supper

This past Sunday at Lama Fin we celebrated our very first Lord’s Supper. Randy had been teaching a two-week lesson on the meaning and significance of it, and, after he completed his teaching, our church partook for the first time.

It has been a year and a half since the doors first opened at Lama Fin, but we continue to grow and were very excited to see nearly 45 folks in church for the first Lord’s supper, or, as they call, it “La Sainte Sainte” or the Holy of Holies.

New Sunday School Building

The church at Lama Fin, which has become known simply as Lama Fin, is only a year and a half old. Yet with each season we see new growth and are very thankful for that. This church was unique in that when they opened their doors for the very first service they had a building they could call their own. This past Sunday, despite it being Election Day (one of only three in the past fifteen years), we still saw 47 people in church - of which 26 were under the age 12. With the increasing number of young people attending the church we have seen a need for another building for them to meet in.

Randy decided to build a pole-building structure with a tin roof and a thatch-type material fixed to the walls. I had the privilege this past week to go out with three Africans and erect this Sunday School classroom. The Africans for sure have their own style of building here, but all in all it will last for many years and will serve its purpose well.
